Yen weakens against major currencies due to Trump tariff uncertainties.
The yen is declining amidst fears of U.S. tariffs on imports, reaching its weakest level against the dollar in a week.

The yen's taking a hit, folks. It's on track for its longest losing streak in over a month, dropping as much as 0.8% to ¥153.73 against the dollar. That’s the lowest it’s been in a week, while all major currencies are doing better. Just last week, it was on a winning streak, all thanks to traders betting on the Bank of Japan possibly raising rates.
But then here comes Trump, announcing 25% tariffs on U.S. imports of steel and aluminum. You know that got Japan sweating! They’re trying to get an exemption from the new tariffs, with trade minister Yoji Muto stepping up to the mic. This drama isn’t over yet, and the stakes are high!
