For over forty years, when folks said, "Let’s meet at Alta," it was like saying, "Let’s meet at home!" in Shinjuku. That place was iconic, man! The Shinjuku Alta building opened back in April 1980, and come this Friday, it's closing up shop after a solid 45 years. Can you believe that?

Right by the east exit of JR Shinjuku Station, this shopping complex was filled with all the trendy fashion stores that young women adored. With its closing, it’s like losing a piece of history. Big deal, right? It’s the end of an era, and the vibes just won’t be the same without it!
