Osaka court sentences former hospital worker to life imprisonment for raping 10 girls.
A former hospital worker was sentenced to life in prison for raping and injuring ten girls aged 8 to 12.

The Osaka District Court just hit a former hospital employee, Tomoya Yanagimoto, with a life sentence for raping 10 girls aged 8 to 12. This dude was breaking into homes or apartment common areas from March 2016 to May 2022, making horrifying threats with a box cutter, telling them to "shut up, or I’ll kill you." The judge didn’t hold back, saying, “What you did is despicable.”
Judge Hiroki Ito detailed how Yanagimoto targeted innocent girls, planning these attacks like a sick game. He spent time outside their homes to learn their routines. The impact? It’s unimaginable. Some of these girls can’t even talk about their trauma years later, struggling with their development. The judge nailed it when he said the scope of the crime is beyond any fixed term.
