Japan's Nikkei index fell over 1,000 points due to Trump's tariffs on imports, prompting potential retaliation from Canada.

Big news coming out of Japan! The Nikkei share average just took a nosedive, losing over 1,000 points on Monday morning. Why? Blame it on President Trump's new tariff policies that are putting the heat on a whole bunch of stocks. At 9:24 a.m., the index hit 38,454.38, down 1,118.11 points, or nearly 2.83% from Friday.
Trump's dropping a 25% tariff on Canadian and Mexican goods, plus a 10% tax on China, effective Tuesday. And guess what? Justin Trudeau is not standing by; he’s firing back with a 25% levy on U.S. imports. It’s a tariff showdown, and the markets are feeling the pressure!
