New Era's hat collection merges modern styles with classic Japanese paintings.
New Era has collaborated with the Tokyo National Museum to create caps inspired by famous Japanese artworks, available starting January 23.

Yo, check this out! New Era teamed up with the Tokyo National Museum to drop some iconic caps inspired by legendary ukiyo-e art. This museum isn’t just any place; it houses 89 National Treasures and a whopping 650 Important Cultural Properties. Typically, you can’t wear this level of art on your head, but they’re making a rare exception this month.
They’ve pulled from four grand masters, giving us five killer designs. You get pieces from Kitagawa Utamaro, Katsushika Hokusai, and Ogata Korin—who's got his wind god and thunder god represented in two separate caps. Plus, there’s a fun homage to Kuniyoshi Utagawa's goldfish, complete with a sneak attack cat underneath. All caps are part of the classic 59Fifty model, priced at 7,150 yen. They drop January 23 in Japan, so mark your calendars!
