Ryuji Kimura was sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempting to murder Prime Minister Kishida with a homemade explosive.

A 25-year-old man just got slapped with a 10-year prison sentence for trying to take out Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. This whole wild scene went down in Wakayama back on April 15, 2023, during a campaign stop. Ryuji Kimura decided to throw a homemade pipe bomb at Kishida, injuring a couple of folks in the crowd.
This wasn't too long after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot and killed during a campaign in July 2022. It's crazy how quickly things can escalate in the world of politics, right? Those courtrooms got no jokes; justice doesn’t play around.
