Starting February 27, 2025, passengers on JR East’s Secret Express can solve a mystery while traveling on the Joetsu Shinkansen.

Get ready, travel lovers and puzzle crackin’ pros! Starting late February 2025, JR East’s Niigata Branch teams up with Nazotoki Adventure to launch the Secret Express, a unique mystery-solving game on the bullet train. As you ride the Joetsu Shinkansen to Tokyo, you’ll transform into an agent on a top-secret mission, dodging rival organizations while delivering classified documents.

This interactive adventure runs from February 27th to September 30th 2025. Grab your puzzle-solving kit for 2200 JPY at NewDays convenience stores and unlock clues right from your seat. To really get in on the action, catch trains arriving at Tokyo between 9:30 AM and 7:50 PM for the best experience. Whether you’re a seasoned puzzler or just looking for some fun, the Secret Express is going to be an unmissable ride!
