Japan is stepping up its game with a new disaster management agency that’s got it all covered—from disaster prep to rebuilding. They're taking notes from some serious past events, like that devastating Noto Peninsula quake on January 1.
With disaster-related fatalities hitting over 220 in Kumamoto and more than 240 in Noto, they’re not playing around. The government is serious about enhancing its crisis management system to brace for possible mega disasters, like the Nankai Trough quake or one right under Tokyo. They’re gearing up, people!
