Japan hits record 33.4M visitors in 11 months.
Japan set a new tourism record in 2024 with 33.4 million visitors, aided by a weak yen and November's arrivals.
Japan just broke its annual visitor record with a whole month left in the year! Official data shows that in November alone, there were 3.19 million foreign visitors flocking to the land of the rising sun, thanks in part to that weak yen. So far this year, 33.4 million visitors have checked in, smashing the old record of 31.9 million from 2019.
Now, October was a massive month with 3.31 million visitors, the highest ever for a single month. But hey, even with a slight dip in November, Japan's tourism is thriving like never before!
