Rescue crews in Saitama are using heavy machinery to stabilize a sinkhole that trapped a 74-year-old man and expanded significantly.

So, check this out. A 74-year-old man got stuck in a sinkhole in Saitama Prefecture. The thing opened up outta nowhere at a busy corner, swallowing his truck whole at 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday. At first, it was about 5 meters wide and 10 meters deep—but wait for it.
By noon that Thursday, the hole ballooned to 40 meters wide and 15 meters deep, turning this rescue operation into a serious challenge! Now rescue crews are bringing in heavy machinery to try and stabilize the site. It’s a wild ride over there!
