So, listen to this—one in five foreign workers in Japan is struggling with some high fees they paid to employment agencies. A new survey reveals that 14.4% of these workers are facing issues at work. Out of them, 19.6% blame those steep agency costs, while 16.0% say they don't know where to turn for help.

Now get this, 51.5% found their gigs through these agencies. Plus, a good chunk, 23.0%, forked out between ¥200,000 and ¥400,000 just to come to Japan, and 13.2% went all in with over ¥1 million! Where's the logic? Businesses say they’re hiring foreign workers mainly due to labor shortages, but 44.8% have a tough time communicating because of language barriers. Talk about a wild ride!
