Fast Retailing just announced a major pay bump for new hires starting in March 2025, raising the monthly salary by 10% to ¥330,000, bringing annual pay to just over ¥5 million. This move is all about attracting top university talent and upping their competitive game on a global scale. For first or second-year store managers, the salary will rise to ¥410,000, increasing about 5% to ¥7.3 million a year. They’re also shaking things up with a new pay system for domestic staff, bumping full-time salaries by up to 11%, based on skills and ambitions. Chairman Tadashi Yanai is committed to revisiting the whole pay structure, contributing to what he calls “a virtuous cycle of growth and salary increases.”
