Family Mart rebrands as Family Nyart for Cat Day, launching new cat-themed sweets.
Family Mart will celebrate Cat Day with limited-edition cat-themed treats and merchandise, donating part of profits to animal welfare.

In Japan, February 22 is Cat Day, celebrated because “222” sounds like “meow” in Japanese! This year, Family Mart is throwing its third annual “Family Nyart Daisakusen” to honor all things feline with cat-themed sweets that are purr-fect for cat lovers. Before the launch on February 18, our reporter Marie got an exclusive preview of a stunning lineup of 21 treats, including the adorable “Koneko Manju” and “Nikukyuu Marshmallow.”
Prices range from 135 yen to 930 yen, featuring goodies like “Nyantomo Oishii Cheesecake” and the “Kuroneko to Shironeko Biscuit Sand.” Family Mart’s also giving back, donating part of the profits to help cats in need. Plus, select stores will host a “Pet Food Drive” for out-of-date pet food donations. The campaign runs from February 18 to March 3, but get there fast—these treats won’t last long!
