Since 1974, Bengal served up some serious curry, starting as a spice wholesaler before diving into the restaurant game. But after relocating due to building demolition, things took a turn for the worse with high rents and the pandemic hitting hard.

Despite loyal fans, Bengal’s more recent struggles led to their bankruptcy filing, leaving them with significant debt. It’s a tough pill to swallow, especially since this wasn’t about people not loving the food. Maybe someday we'll see them make a comeback with a smaller operation. For now, let’s cherish the memories and support our favorite spots before it’s too late.
